Is DroidDeck safe?

The useful safety question is which file you install. The 0.4.0 README points to GitHub Releases and warns against download links on sites that claim to be the DroidDeck team. This guide does not host the APK, does not take Steam passwords, and does not accept log uploads.

What “safe” can mean here

Safe, on this page, means the download matches the place the README names. It does not mean every Windows game will run, and it does not mean a third-party “verified” badge. GPU range and a play session are separate. The device check keeps them apart.

The software is GPL-3.0. Steam and Proton belong to Valve. DroidDeck is not Valve, and droiddeck.net is not the DroidDeck maintainers. After install, logs stay on the device until you share them yourself in the project Discord.

Safety questions

Is DroidDeck safe to install?

The project publishes the APK on GitHub Releases and tells readers not to use download links from websites that claim to be the team. Installing that GitHub build is the path the README describes. An APK from an unrelated host is a different file.

Does DroidDeck need a Steam password on this website?

No. droiddeck.net has no login and no place to send a Steam password. Sign-in happens inside the Steam client after you install from GitHub.

Is droiddeck.net the official download?

No. It is an independent guide. The README says DroidDeck does not have a stand-alone website.
